A brand-new wine tasting event is arriving on the peninsula Nov. 15. From 2-6 p.m., the Balboa Pavilion Grand Wine Tasting pairs more than 20 different wines with samples of cuisine from Harborside Restaurant. The official charity partner is Fish for Life, a Southern California nonprofit that invites special needs children out for half-day fishing trips. Tickets for the tasting are available starting at $75 for the early bird pre-sale. Following the event, attendees are invited to make a reservation at Harborside Restaurant for an additional $30 to enjoy a three-course prix fixe meal. (balboagrandtasting.com)
